Bring home the Bacon and Bake It! For some reason the flavor of the bacon is so much better when you bake it then when you fry it. It happens to be so much better for you as well. It is easy and you don’t have to wipe up grease splatter all over your kitchen. I always keep a layer of foil in the bottom of my oven for easy clean up…just by swapping out an old sheet of foil for a new one.
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Place a wire cooling rack on top of a jelly roll pan (or something under to catch drippings) or use a broiler pan.
Place bacon (thick cut holds up better for baking) in a single layer on top of cooling rack or broiler pan.
Place in oven for 20 minutes or until desired doneness.
